Hybrid Theory is the debut album by the American multi-platinum rock band Linkin Park, released in 2000. In 2001, the album sold almost 5 million copies in the United States, making "Hybrid Theory" the best-selling album of the year in that country. The album rose to the second position on the US Billboard 200 chart, and also took high positions on other world charts.
The American alternative band Linkin Park was formed in 1996 in the USA. The band's first album (Hybrid Theory, 2000) brought the team huge popularity, the record was sold out in 24 million copies and received diamond status. The band has won two Grammy Awards, eight MTV Europe Music Awards and several other awards.
