The new Bluesound Pulse M wireless multi-room speaker is designed to transmit 360o sound.

Bluesound, the creator of the award-winning high-resolution music streamer Node (2021), has introduced a new wireless multi-room speaker with support for high-resolution playback and MQA.

The new Bluesound Pulse M claims to pack a punch thanks to its 80-watt intelligent DSP amplifier and "Omni-Hybrid" driver, which includes a burning 5.25-inch low-frequency and two 19mm high-frequency speakers mounted at a 45-degree angle.

This carefully designed system apparently uses an "individual acoustic reflector" above the woofer to dissect unwanted sound artifacts and provide a "lush" 360-degree sound stage.

Bluesound believes that the Pulse M's stylish, acoustically transparent fabric radiator grille will help it fit into any home. Placement should not be a problem, as the elliptical cabinet is only 20 cm high (accessories for wall mounting and floor stands are also available).

Do you want a little more? Two Pulse M speakers can be paired for stereo sound. You can also use the speakers as a background environment for the Dolby Atmos-capable Bluesound Pulse Soundbar+, a contender for the Sonos Arc. Add Pulse Sub+ and Powernode and you'll have a complete wireless surround sound system.

Since you have full access to millions of tracks, the BluOS Controller app allows you to stream songs from your existing music services, tune in to your favorite podcasts, or even listen to music from your personal collection. Thanks to aptX™ HD Bluetooth® technology, users can wirelessly stream any music or applications from a Bluetooth-enabled device as a CD, opening up completely new streaming possibilities with PULSE M.

The PULSE M Omni-Hybrid™ driver is equipped with an upward-pointing 5 1/4-inch woofer and two 3/4-inch tweeters mounted and offset at an angle of 45 degrees to each other, which provides an exciting 360° sound stage. A specially designed acoustic reflector above the woofer dissipates unwanted sound artifacts by directing the high frequencies of the speaker outward and away from the speaker. The driver node relies on a carefully designed power supply and an intelligent DSP amplifier providing 80 watts of system power to provide real-time monitoring and control of bandwidth, dynamic range and distortion to direct clear and rich sound from almost any listening angle.

SURROUND YOURSELF WITH SOUND

PULSE M can also be used in pairs to create true two-channel listening with an ultra-wide sound stage, even at off-axis listening angles. The speaker can be grouped with other players in the Bluesound ecosystem to simultaneously play high-resolution multiroom audio in one or more rooms. Use PULSE M as the rear surround sound in the Bluesound home theater group along with PULSE SOUNDBAR+ and PULSE SUB+ to create a full immersion effect.
