"Fireball" is a remastered reissue of the 1971 Deep Purple album on purple vinyl. The remastering was done by Andy Pierce and Matt Vorsam using the original tapes, and the vinyl was cut using the "Half-Speed" technology (the vinyl master was made from film at half the original speed) by Barry Grint at Alchemy Studio.
Deep Purple was founded in Britain in February 1968 and became a symbol of the hard rock of the 70s. The band is considered the founders of hard rock, and is also credited with the development of the genres of heavy metal and progressive rock. The golden line-up includes vocalist Richie Blackmore, drummer Ian Pace and keyboardist Jon Lord. To date, the band has released 18 studio albums, which have sold a total of 240 million copies.
