Red is the seventh studio work by King Crimson, released in 1974. This is the last album of the band, recorded in the 1970s. At the time of recording the album, David Cross was no longer a member of the band, but took part in the work on the record as a guest musician. In addition, former members of King Crimson, Mel Collins and Ian McDonald took part in the recording.
The British rock band King Crimson was founded in 1968 by drummer Michael Giles and guitarist Robert Fripp. The band was constantly changing, and the band broke up and reunited several times. Robert Fripp remains the only regular participant. In 2009, another collapse occurred, at the moment the official discography of the band has 13 albums.
