Reissue of "Music for The Masses", Depeche Mode's sixth studio album, released in 1987. The record led the band to mainstream success in the US for the first time after the record "Some Great Reward", and the new styles in music that appeared on this album and its predecessor "Black Celebration" prepared the band for their major breakthrough, the album "Violator".
Reissue on vinyl.
The Depeche Mode collective was formed in 1980 in the UK, and became the founder of its own musical genre (a mixture of rock and electronic music). Depeche Mode's creativity was influenced by German electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk. Later, Depeche Mode themselves had a significant impact on many artists, mainly due to their recording techniques and innovative use of sampling. Despite the fact that the band has significantly influenced the development of modern dance electronic music, it is usually considered to be in the genre of "alternative music".115 million copies of their albums have been sold. Q magazine included the band in the list of "50 bands that changed the world", and in 2001, the VH1 channel identified Depeche Mode at the 98th position in the list of "100 greatest artists of all time".
