Miles Davis is an American jazz trumpeter who had a significant influence on the development of 20th century music. The artist was one of the first representatives of such jazz styles as modal jazz, cool jazz and fusion. At the age of 19, Davis had already become a member of the Charlie Parker quintet, and in 1948 he assembled the nonet Capiol Band, known as a representative of the so-called "cool jazz". A new round of popularity of the artist began in the late 1960s, when Davis developed a new type of arrangement and began to perform in the style of jazz-rock. In 2002, the album "In a Silent Way" was included in the ranking of the top 25 ambient albums of all time. The musician is the winner of 7 Grammy Awards.
