Kind Of Blue is a studio album by Miles Davis, first released in 1959 on Columbia Records. Along with Miles Davis, pianist Bill Evans, drummer Jimmy Cobb, bassist Paul Chambers, saxophonists John Coltrane and Julian "Cannonball" Adderley took part in the recording of the record. This is one of the greatest jazz recordings in history. The album went platinum four times in the USA.
American jazz trumpeter and bandleader Miles Davis was born in 1926 and died in 1991. He had a great influence on the development of music of the XX century, stood at the origins of such trends as cool jazz, modal jazz and fusion. Davis is also credited with creating an original style of trumpet playing, which was adopted by trumpeters playing in the styles of cool and bebop.
