Reissue of a joint jazz album by Carlos Santana andAlice Coltrane, released in 1974.
Carlos Santana is an American guitarist, born in 1947 in Mexico. He was awarded the Grammy Award many times, especially during his finest hour of 1960-70. The song "Black Magic Woman" of that time became an immortal hit. The return to the top of the charts occurred in 1999 with the release of the album "Supernatural". The album received a Grammy in the nomination "best album of the year". In total, 30 million of his records were sold, 14 albums became gold, 9 - platinum.
Alice Coltrane is an American jazz pianist, harpist and composer, also known as the wife of legendary jazz musician John Coltrane. She began her career in Detroit as part of a duo with vibraphonist Terry Pollard and in the Terry Gibbs Quartet. In 1965, Alice became a pianist in John Coltrane's band, and a year later she married him. After her husband's death, the pianist played in the musical groups founded by her. Her most significant recordings were made in the 1960s and 70s on the Impulse label! Records.
