1-Xpression Carbon Classic belongs to the 6th generation of the classic hi-fi player Pro-Ject 1, first introduced in 1991. No other entry-level player concept is more audiophile, and the current version includes a completely new carbon tonearm using the new EVO technology.This new and innovative gimbal design includes shock-absorbing resonances by weight, which allows you to ensure the best sound quality of any cartridge. The proven belt-driven design is based on a low-noise permanent current motor with efficient motor isolation and an ultra-precise frequency alternator with DC power (as in the Speed Box), which ensures extreme speed stability.

The complex design of the main disk is unique for this price range, it is similar to that used in Xtension models. Advanced thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) used in composite construction together with aluminum alloy optimize resonance suppression. The axis of the disc bearing with very low tolerances is made of chrome-plated stainless steel and rotates on a polished ball bearing housed in a bronze housing.

The base of the player is made of MDF with a low resonant capacity, it is effectively decoupled from structural noise by special shock-absorbing bearings.
