A joint album by two legendary jazz performers - vocalist Ella Fitzgerald and trumpeter Louis Armstrong - released in 1957.
Ella Fitzgerald (1917-1996) is one of the greatest female vocalists in the history of jazz music. Ella is the owner of a voice with a range of three octaves, a master of scat and voice improvisation, she is often called the "first lady of jazz". During her career, she released about 90 records, which sold 40 million copies. The singer has won 13 Grammy Awards, the Presidential Medal of Freedom (USA), she is a laureate of the National Medal of Art (USA) and a knight of the Order of Arts and Letters (France).
Louis Armstrong (1901-1971) was an American jazz trumpeter, vocalist and big band leader. Armstrong became one of the most influential figures in the history of jazz - he not only influenced the development of the genre, but also popularized it all over the world. The musician has two Grammy Awards (one of them is for life achievements), as well as many other awards. Despite the fact that Armstrong has not been with us for more than 40 years, he is still considered one of the best jazzmen in the world.
