In 1998, the debut album Moon Safari from the French duo Air was released. The beginning of the guys' musical career was clearly successful - the record became gold in France and platinum in Britain. In addition to excellent sales, the French edition of Rolling Stone magazine awarded the album the 65th position in the list of "100 greatest rock albums of France".
The French duo Air was founded in 1995 and adheres to various electronic styles of music, in particular trip-hop. The band's albums are selling well not only at home, but also abroad, and some compositions have been performed in famous films. For example, Air became the authors of the soundtrack to the film "Suicide Virgins" by Sofia Coppola, as well as one of their songs was performed in the tape "Translation Difficulties".
