The third studio album Mezzanine from the Bristol trio Massive Attack was released in 1998 and became the most successful recording of the band. The album's achievements are impressive - almost every track later appeared in feature films, and the record itself was included in the list of the "500 greatest albums of all time" according to Rolling Stone magazine. Sales were also on top - the album received platinum statuses all over the world, and in France and Britain this status was obtained twice!
This reissue is being released on double vinyl and is timed to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the Virgin Records label.
The British band Massive Attack was founded in 1988 and successfully exists to this day. The band became pioneers of the trip hop genre. During their career, the band has released 5 studio albums and 3 compilations, and their songs have been used in many popular films and TV series. Including "The Matrix", "Big Jackpot", "Charmed", "Scum", "Dr. House" and others. The musicians have two MTV Europe Music Awards, one Brit Awards and many other awards.
