Janine Jansen is a Dutch violinist. She made her debut in 2001, performing the Brahms Violin Concerto with the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland. Her partners were Julian Rakhlin, Yuri Bashmet, Heinrich Schiff, Catherine Stott, Misha Maysky, Emmanuel Payu, Maxim Rysanov and other famous musicians, she played with major orchestras under the direction of Vladimir Ashkenazi, Valery Gergiev, Ricardo Chailly, Roger Norrington, Frans Bruggen, Mikhail Pletnev, Lorin Maazel and others. The violinist's repertoire includes Vivaldi, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Bartok, Britten, Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Pyart and other composers.
