Antal Dorati is a Hungarian and American conductor and composer, recipient of the Order of the British Empire. The performer began his musical career as a choreographer at the Royal Opera of Budapest. The first work in the USA was the American Ballet Theater in 1942-1945. In 1947, he received American citizenship. As a conductor, Dorati led the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra (1949-1960), the Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra (1966-1970), the US National Symphony Orchestra (1970-1977), the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (1977-1981) and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London (1975-1979). Dorati also worked with the Philharmonia Hungarica Orchestra and was elected its honorary president.
Igor Fedorovich Stravinsky (June 1882, Oranienbaum, Russian Empire - April 6, 1971, New York; buried in Venice) was a Russian composer. A citizen of France (1934) and the United States (1945). One of the largest representatives of the world musical culture of the XX century. Stravinsky's music is distinguished by stylistic diversity: in the first period of creativity (his most repertoire compositions) it bears a bright imprint of the Russian cultural tradition. The style of the later works reveals, among other things, the influence of French neoclassicism and the dodecaphony of the New Viennese School.
