The new solo album of the band leader Pink Floyd, released on September 18, 2015. Rattle That Lock is the fourth studio album by David Gilmore (the previous one was released in 2006). Gilmore recorded the record in his own studio and used the developments of the last five years, as well as earlier ones, for it. For the title track, Gilmore used the jingle of the French railway company SNCF: he heard it at the station, recorded it on an iPhone and subsequently used it as a sample.
This edition includes an album on 180-gram vinyl.
David Gilmour is a British composer, guitarist, vocalist, one of the leaders of the Pink Floyd band. In addition to working as a member of the band, Gilmore has acted as a record producer for various artists and has had a successful solo career. Throughout his musical career, Gilmore has been actively involved in the activities of many charitable organizations. In 2003, he was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire for his service to music and charity, and was awarded the Outstanding Contribution Award at the 2008 Q Awards.
