"The Road To Hell" is a reissue of Chris Rea's multi-platinum tenth studio album on vinyl, originally released in 1989.
The Road To Hell - allowed Chris Rea to conquer the top of the hit parade. The record included the hit "The Road To Hell Pt.2", which helped Ri get the first top 10 single, after 17 failed attempts before. The song "Texas" has been played for years on Classic Rock/AOR radio stations in the Lone Star State; it was also sometimes played as background music before Texas Rangers baseball games at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. And the composition "Daytona" metaphorically sings about the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 "Daytona" car, which is directly related to the musician's great love for auto racing.
