Kraftwerk is a German musical group from Dusseldorf, which has made a significant contribution to the development of electronic music. The group was formed in 1968 by Florian Schneider and Ralph Hutter, but gained wide fame by becoming a quartet that also included Wolfgang Fluhr and Karl Bartos. The first association of these musicians was a quintet called Organization.
