Vinyl Player Pro-Ject X1 Pick-IT S2 MM Walnut

The Pro-Ject X-Line vinyl players were replaced by the Pro-Ject X1. The classic design of the Pro-Ject belt-driven player, according to brand representatives, "has been rethought and raised to a new level." A lot has been updated. A new one-and-a-half-kilogram non-resonant disc made of 2 cm acrylic is mounted on an auxiliary disc that has received a premium main bearing for smooth, "liquid" rotation.

The carbon-aluminum tonearm of the X1 is made as a whole, without a resonating head, and has received all the necessary adjustments. The damped counterweight of the tonearm additionally reduces possible resonances. The X1 comes with a new Pro-Ject Pick It S2 cartridge made by experts from Ortofon.

Inside the player there is a complex DC-AC generator board, which, in combination with a convenient speed control panel (33 1/3, 45 and 78 rpm with electronic switching are available), provides clean and stable power to a quietly running engine with a level of unevenness up to 0.15%. The height-adjustable legs of the Alu–TPE sandwich construction are a necessary part for leveling the table and effectively mechanically isolating it from the surface on which it is installed.

The X1 case is made of high—density MDF, a material chosen due to "outstanding mechanical characteristics that perfectly match the specifics of the application." The design of the model is completed in "luxurious eight layers of painting and polishing by hand." The X1 is available in three finishes: walnut veneer and black or white gloss.

X1 "can be ready to play in a few minutes after unpacking." The package includes cables, including semi-balanced Connect-IT E RCA with low capacity and "excellent shielding", optimized for use with the player.
