The new Debut Carbon DC player was developed by Pro-Ject using modern materials and technologies, and is ready to repeat the success of its predecessor. One of the most noticeable improvements in the design of the player was a carbon fiber (carbon fiber) tonearm, which is reflected in the name of the model. Such a tonearm has a combination of qualities – lightness, rigidity and resistance to resonances – making it an ideal solution for accurately reading the sound groove of a vinyl disc with an installed pickup. The tonearm has a length of 8.6 inches, and the Ortofon OM10 or Ortofon 2M Red pickups are normally installed on it. Accordingly, the player is already fully adjusted at the factory, however, if desired, they can be replaced with other models – the whole procedure for installing and configuring them is described in detail in the instructions. Also, the size and weight of the support disk were increased in the player, which had a positive effect on the stability of the entire structure. The support disc is covered with a felt mat, which reliably protects the plate from possible contamination, and serves as an additional barrier to vibrations.

The Pro-Ject Debut Carbon DC support disc rotates by means of a pass drive from a synchronous motor installed through anti-vibration sorbon gaskets. Unlike most other inexpensive turntables, the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon has gold-plated RCA sockets for connecting to an amplifier, so if desired, the supplied connection cable can be replaced with any other. The player has manual control, manual switching of the disc rotation speed (33/45 rpm), simple balance and anti–skating settings, and comes in several variants of bright finish colors - from black to white. The version of the turntable with the DC index in the name is equipped with a new improved power supply.
