Grace is the only full studio album by American musician Jeff Buckley, released in the USA by Columbia in 1994. Initially, the album had mixed reviews, but gradually gained recognition from both critics and listeners. It has sold over 2 million copies worldwide. The album ranks 304th among the 500 greatest albums of all time according to Rolling Stone magazine.
One of the most famous tracks of the album was "Hallelujah" - a cover version of a Leonard Cohen song. In 2004, this cover was ranked number 259 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time
The life of American musician Jeff Buckley was short-lived, he was born in 1966 and died at the age of 30, in 1997. The artist began his career in the mid-80s in Los Angeles, where he played in several bands at the same time. After moving to New York, he participated in the band Gods And Monsters and often performed covers at various events, which earned him a contract with Columbia Records. In 1994, Grace's debut album was released, after the release of which the artist and the team spent the next two years on tour in support of the longplay. During the recording of the second album, Jeff Buckley had an accident, he drowned while swimming in the river.
