Vinyl Disc 70 Birthday Bash (180g Vinyl)
01942610
That might have been a party! For four evenings, from April 4th to 7th, 2018, the legendary Birthday Bash concerts in the Vienna Metropol were recorded. Hans Theessink, great singer, songwriter and virtuoso guitarist, celebrated his 70s and many musical friends took the opportunity to congratulate him properly. They came from all over Europe and North America and offered a true musical firework display. The atmosphere in the house, which was sold out every evening, was unique, not least because of the enthusiastic fans - that is, because of you.
Now the vinyl and double CD is ready. A unique Birthday Bash document with great sound quality, peppered with special treats and unusual sessions. For example, Sassy from "die Seer" presents her bluesy side and launches a brilliant version of "Sweet Home Chicago" with Hans. With soulful intensity, Hans and Sassy interpret the Towns Van Zandts song "If I Needed You. "Gö you stay with me tonight," says Theessink with his good friend Schiffkowitz. Hans Theessink sings “Lintschi”, the great translation of “Give My Love to Rose” by and with Ernst Molden, in a wonderfully Viennese way, to the delight of the audience.
And the international highlight of the birthday party, the "Blind Boys Of Alabama" with the gospels "Uncloudy Day" and "I Saw The Light" are now available for eternity. And these are all just a few tidbits from this packed programme.... On this rousingly celebratory Birthday Bash LP he demonstrates this once again, together with his guests.
Featuring: Blind Boys Of Alabama, Ernst Molden, Willi Resetarits, Sassy Holzinger, Schiffkowitz, Jon Sass, Dorretta Carter, Alee Thelfa, Knud Møller, Insingizi, Meena Cryle, Chris Fillmore, R. & B., Guggenbichler, Champagne Charlie, Rabitsch , Graf, Novacek.
