"This is a natural progression for me," Fish notes. "This album is the story of a girl who grew up in the Midwest. It's very personal. I really focused on songwriting and vocals, melodies and emotions, and bringing a different dimension to what I do. on guitar, although we ended up with some heavier tracks. I love Mississippi blues; there's something very soulful and very real about this style of music, so this was a chance to immerse myself in it."
