Technics SL-1200GR is a direct drive player.

The components inherited from the SL-1200G were redesigned for the SL-1200GR, starting with a direct-drive engine without a core and precision motor control devices, which eliminated the problem of torque pulsation, negatively affecting the uniformity of rotation. In addition, the device uses a durable and sensitive tonearm, characterized by low vibration. All this made it possible to achieve a quality significantly superior to conventional devices in its class. Thanks to the SL-1200GR player, more and more music lovers can enjoy the rich, rich sound of analog recordings.

The Technics SL-1200GR has a chassis made of cast aluminum and reinforced ABS, and the combination of these materials provides the player with excellent resistance to resonances and vibrations. In addition, this model is mounted on combined supports, which are springs in a silicone shell, and have excellent damping characteristics. The supports are made height-adjustable so that the player can be positioned exactly horizontally.

The Technics SL-1200GR is equipped with a direct drive drive from a powerful and silent motor with a high starting torque. The design of the motor has been optimized in such a way as to ensure smooth and stable rotation of the plate without extraneous vibrations. The motor is connected to a digital speed control system, which provides the possibility of its smooth change using a linear pitch control controller. This function makes the player convenient for music lovers to use, however, when installed in the middle position, the controller has no effect on the speed of rotation of the disc. The accuracy of the latter can be controlled using the strobe light available in this model. 

The Technics SL-1200GR player has a massive support disc made of aluminum and damped with rubber. Rubber is also applied to the upper part of the disc, where it plays the role of a vibration-insulating mat for the plate. This model is equipped with a 9-inch S-shaped tonearm on a gimbal. The tonearm is equipped with precision bearings and has exceptional tracking accuracy. Thanks to the standard shell and a wide range of adjustments, pickups of various brands can be installed on the player. The player is equipped with gold-plated RCA output sockets and comes with all the necessary accessories.
