Pro-Ject The Classic Evo Quintet-Red is an updated version of the very successful EISA award-winning model The Classic. Pro-Ject The Classic Evo has a heavier and stiffer sub-chassis, thanks to which a significant reduction in resonances has been achieved. The new aluminum additional plate, precisely machined with a diamond cutting tool, as in the limited special edition 175 VPO, significantly improves performance, which guarantees excellent isolation between the bearing operation and the tonearm.

The support disc in the Pro-Ject The Classic Evo player is carved with high precision from a special aluminum alloy and damped with TPE. A new aluminum subdisk was also used. The player's tonearm is 9 inches long, the tonearm tube is a sandwich structure made of carbon and aluminum. The counterweight of the tonearm is damped using TPE, which made it possible to reduce the resonances of the lever by 50%. Various counterweights for pickups up to 25 grams are available as an option

The drive uses a silent vertical AC motor, which transmits rotation to the disk using a belt drive. Gold-plated RCA connectors are installed to connect to the amplifier. The rotation speed is changed by an electronic controller that supports speeds of 33/45 rpm.
