Vinyl Player Pro-Ject RPM 9 Carbon N/C*

Professional DJ player Pro-Ject RPM 9 Carbon N/C is a kind of "tuner", because it has been subjected to three significant modifications. Now it is equipped with a new motor that works almost noiselessly and it uses a similar quartz lock technology as the external Speed Box II. A new AC power supply is attached to it, which has an improved DC generator that ensures the stability of the rotation speed.

The main novelty is that the electronic speed controller of the disk allows you to switch from 33 1/3 to 45 revolutions per minute with a single button, which is convenient when compared with moving the belt from one pulley to another in manual mode. Special attention was paid to the improved chassis.

The platform is a heavy-weight structure on which a plate of wood-fiber composite is installed, created on a machine with numerical control. It also has rubber-coated steel pellets. Thanks to the temperature treatment and coating of the surface with a special carbon fiber, the developers managed to significantly reduce the level of resonances of the platform. The support disk has been completely replaced. Instead of the acrylic, which the RM-9.2 was equipped with, an aluminum disc with a damping material made of thermoplastic and a vinyl mat is installed in the RPM 9 Carbon.

The inverted ceramic ball bearing ensures a stable rotation speed of the disc and an ultra-low rumble level. Effective decoupling is provided by three legs on magnets with adjustable height, which are located under the base of the player and are designed for precise installation of the device on the level. According to the developers, "the legs perform the function of a filter and minimize the resonances generated by the chassis." In addition, a massive brass pressure washer is attached to the RPM 9 Carbon, which aligns the curved discs.
