The Van den Hul The Crimson pickup head is a cross between The Canary and The Condor cartridges already released by the Van den Hul brand. Head housingVan den Hul The Crimson XGA is made of amber resin. The Crimson is distinguished by a relatively high (0.65 mV) output, a coil with a gold winding, a samarium-cobalt magnet and an excellent channel balance.

The Crimson is the result of the growing popularity of vinyl media and the listener's need for a pickup head that would not be inferior in quality to The Canary and would be more affordable. The cartridge is made entirely by hand.
