In Rega Ania MS, measures have been taken to reduce the mass of the mobile system in an unprecedented way, which ensures that the elliptical diamond needle follows the sound groove without hindrance and further improves the reproduction detail. The coil is wound with a 0.018 mm wire, the unique diamond-shaped suspension of the needle holder (cantilever) reliably dampens its vibrations, the ultralight and powerful neodymium magnetic system provides the necessary sensitivity. This is one of the smallest heads in the world.

To reduce the cost, the Rega Ania MS pickup is mounted in a glass-polymer case made of polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS-Fortron). With a glass content of 40%, this material is perfectly molded, does not give residual deformations and does not require mechanical processing. This ensures the alignment of the holes for the installation of the magnetic system and the damper of the needle holder, necessary for flawless operation. The technological equipment used to press the case with micron precision is itself a work of art.
