Ortofon OM 5S is a MM-type pickup equipped with an improved magnetic system, a diamond needle with spherical sharpening, it has a housing made of patented Noryl material. Ortofon OM 5S is an excellent choice for completing various vinyl players.

The design of the Ortofon OM 5S pickup has been optimized by computer simulation for the most accurate reading of information from a vinyl record.

The magnetic system with split pole tips provides the Ortofon OM 5S with balanced and dynamic sound in a wide frequency range with minimal phase distortion.

The diamond needle with spherical sharpening provides Ortofon OM 5S with a balanced and accurate sound when listening not only to new records, but also to vinyl released in previous years.

If your tonearm has a standard effective mass, just leave the weighting pad in the lower part of the pickup head. If your tonearm is of the lung type, just remove the extra load. The weight of your OM cartridge is now only 2.5 g.

The Ortofon OM 5S pickup is manufactured at the company's factory in Denmark, which guarantees its reliability and excellent sound.

The OM 5 series allows you to improve the sound by simply replacing the needle. Depending on your preferences, the pick-up needles for the OM 5 series are easily interchangeable and include: 3E, 5E, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 78 styluses and D 25 M.
