Ortofon OM 1S - MM is a pickup equipped with a diamond needle with spherical sharpening, it has good versatility and high-quality sound when listening to various vinyl records. The output signal level of the OM 1S pickup is 4.5 mV.

With the Ortofon OM 1S pickup head, it is easy to improve the playback quality of vinyl recordings. If the player's tonearm is equipped with a standard shell, then installing the cartridge will not take much time. The scope of delivery of the pickup head includes a weight of 2.0 g. and if the head's own weight of 5.0 g is not enough, it can be weighted down to 7.0 g. If you place the weight between the shell and the head, then the height of the head will increase by 1.0 mm, if this is not required, then it is better to place the weight on top of the shell. A tiny removable weighting plate is originally hidden in the upper part of the mounting bracket. If your tonearm is a standard tonearm, just leave the weighting plate. If your tonearm is of the lung type, simply remove the load. The weight of your OM cartridge is now only 2.5 g.

And as usual, the cartridge kit includes a traditional set of screws, nuts and a screwdriver.

According to the fit dimensions of the replaceable needle, OM 1S is fully compatible with OM/OMP series cartridges, as well as with pickups from the DJ line, which makes it not only easy to find a replacement needle that has fallen into disrepair, but also to change the needle to play a mono LP or a 78 rpm phonograph record.
