The older models in the VM 700 series line are equipped with a cast aluminum alloy body that dampens unwanted vibrations and provides outstanding sound.

The Audio-Technica VM750SH pickup head is a VM-type pickup with a dual magnetic system and a highly efficient paratoroidal converter design.

V M cartridges from Audio-Technica are distinguished by a unique design. This design increases the efficiency of the movable system and ensures perfect contact of the needle tip with the recording groove. In addition, the VM750SH series cartridges use a paratoroidal converter design located inside the head housing, which allows you to eliminate any losses in sound information and obtain the highest efficiency of the converting system. The arrangement of a two-coil electromagnetic converter system, with a central shielding plate between the coils, allows for a wide and uniform frequency response and almost completely eliminates the interference of the coils of the right and left channels.

The Audio-Technica VM750SH pickup head is equipped with a needle with a Shibata profile. The profile of the Shibata needle provides an excellent mid-high-frequency range, without loss of signal strength at medium frequencies.

The coils of the Audio-Technica VM750SH pickup are wound with 6N-OFC copper - oxygen-free copper of a high degree of purification (99.99997%).
