Interconnect cable Van Den Hul Bay C5 Hybrid RCA

Thanks to the great success of our (discontinued) PATCHBAY B5 in its use as a universal audio connection, we have introduced the BAY C5 HYBRID: a coaxial (unbalanced) HYBRID version of our balanced PATCHBAY B5.

The combination in the design of excellent transmission quality, low conductor-to-conductor capacitance, very high shielding coefficient together with high mechanical flexibility and long service life, although not easy to manage, has been successfully achieved.

The central conductor of the cable with a cross section of 0.452 mm2 consists of 40 cores of oxygen-free copper with a large crystal structure (Large Crystal OFC) and a dense coating of silver.

By adding a layer saturated with LSC (Linear Structured Carbon® — linearly Structured Carbon) material, Van den Hul specialists managed to significantly improve the transparency and visualization of sound. Foamed polyethylene is used as the insulation material. The shield, consisting of an inner layer of LSC and an outer braid of 96 cores with a diameter of 0.12 mm, effectively protects the cable from electrical and microwave interference. The hybrid nature of the screen further improves the quality of signal transmission. The red outer shell is made of innovative halogen-free material HULLIFLEX®, which is 3 times superior to PVC in mechanical stability and has increased flexibility, strength, wear resistance, chemical and temperature resistance.

The cable is equipped with branded RCA Van den Hul C-5.5 connectors with a three-layer coating of copper, silver and 24K gold. It is delivered in the manufacturer's branded box.
