The conductors in the cable are single-core, and are made of oxygen-free copper of a high degree of purification. Foamed polyethylene is used as an internal dielectric, and a double shield (aluminum foil) is provided over the entire surface of the cable to protect the transmitted signals from external electrical interference. The high-tech connector design provides bidirectional signal transmission at speeds up to 0.8 of the speed of light, or data at a speed of 18 GB/s (1100 MHz bandwidth).
