Mama's Gun is the second studio album by American soul singer Erica Badu, released in 2000. The album is recorded in neo-soul style and includes elements of funk, soul and jazz. The single "Bag Lady" hit the Billboard top 10 and was nominated for a Grammy in the categories "Best Female R&B Vocal" and "Best R&B Song". The track "Didn't Cha Know?" was also nominated for a Grammy.
American singer Erica Badu was born in 1971. Among the genres in which she prefers to perform are soul, neo-soul and R&B. She has four Grammy Awards, three Soul Train Lady Of Soul Awards and other awards to her credit. In addition to her musical career, Badu starred in the film "Rules of Winemakers", which won two Oscars.
