Lana Del Rey (real name Elizabeth Woolridge Grant) is an American singer and songwriter. Her music has been noted by critics for its cinematic style, preoccupation with tragic relationships and melancholy, as well as for references to American pop culture, particularly the 1950s and 1960s. Del Rey began her career in 2005, but worldwide fame came to her after the release of her debut single "Video Games" in 2011.
