Canzoni Segrete Vinyl Disc (180g Vinyl)

The new album "Canzoni segrete" is about the power of music, the consequences of prosperity, about a strange plague and changeable passions, about dreams, hopes, disappointments. The songs have their roots in recent decades, for example, "Leo", adapted in 1994 from the French original by Georges Moustaki. However, they were mostly written between January 2019 and June 2020. The album, recorded in studios in Italy, France, Germany and Switzerland, turned into a deep project that challenged Pippo Pollina as a composer and poet, as well as as a thinker, musician and arranger.

In a rough and at the same time ringing voice, Pippo Pollina rejoices and argues, chatters and reflects. Sometimes with a touch of conciseness, but never without a fundamental reverence for the beauty of sound and the power of art, in the realization that music is a gift. This is the basis, despite all doubts, for an ambitious, mature and consistent album that Pippo Pollina will present on stage in early 2022 and culminate in a grand finale at the Verona Arena in August 2023.
