The Danish company Ortofon, understanding and sharing the wishes of the army of fans of the original analog sound, continuing to excite, excite the analog media market, has created a cartridge called 2M Plug and Play.

As you know, the 2M series cartridges were developed jointly with the Danish designer Moller Jensen Design, the one who created the famous MC Jubilee and MC Kontrapunkt series cartridges. The idea was to create a cartridge, its shape resembling the facets of a diamond, reflected when moving along the groove of the plate. In the name of the cartridge, two ideas are played out, the connection with modern trends is emphasized, from which the number 2 appeared, as well as the belonging of these cartridges to the type of moving magnets (Moving Magnet) MM, i.e. two "M".

Taking into account the outstanding musical abilities of the 2M series and extremely successful innovations, in particular the ease of installation, and the 2M Plug and Play series is mounted immediately on a standard tonearm connector (SME type) using the proprietary Ortofon shell with high-quality ultra-pure copper cables, this line of cartridges will be a real revelation for all sound lovers.

A beautiful case, 52 mm long, weighing 16.9 g (the total weight together with the cartridge is 23 g), made of a special non-resonating compound, with a gold-plated contact group, perfectly aligned along the axes with the Ortofon TA series tonearms is an excellent solution for anyone who would like to avoid the hassle and a certain kind of inconvenience with mounting the cartridge and installation of adapter cables from the cartridge to the tonearm.
