The Ortofon 2M series was developed in collaboration with Danish designer Møller Jensen (Møller Jensen Design), the same designer who created the look of the award-winning MC Jubilee and Kontrapunkt series. Inspired by the facets of a diamond, the delicate contour gracefully sliding along the groove of the recording, the solid and at the same time elegant 2M series demonstrates a magnificent combination of elegant form and technical perfection. The Ortofon 2M series is designed for precise and careful extraction of information from the recording groove. Our philosophy is to reproduce the recorded sound as accurately as possible, without introducing any coloring. We have optimized the design for ease of installation of cartridges, weight and dimensions for compatibility with the most common players on the market today. The name of the 2M series, was selected among many others. We wanted to find a modern name that would be easy to pronounce and remember, so this alphanumeric name was chosen, 2M means MM - short for moving magnet (moving magnet). Of course, 2M is not just a new prettier face. This series has been designed to the highest standards and complies with Ortofon's strict policy aimed at ensuring the most accurate and unpainted reproduction.

Ortofon 2M Bronze is distinguished by the sharpening of the nude Fine Line diamond needle, which is well suited for those who are particularly demanding on the quality of recording playback. The Fine Line Needle's slim profile will track even the highest frequencies in the recording, making it essential for discerning listeners. In addition, its large area allows you to reduce distortion and wear of the recording.

The case that is used for the 2M Bronze is made of the newly developed Lexan DMX Piano Black material. It is a revolutionary material that provides high rigidity while eliminating unwanted resonances.
