Audio-Technica AT33PTG/II is an MC type pickup head, the oldest in the AT33 series.
The AT33PTG/II has a dual Coil design to provide better signal separation between channels and extend the frequency response range. The winding of the coils is made of wire made of PCOCC monocrystalline copper for pure sound transmission. The magnetic core is made of neodymium magnet.
The MicroLine profile needle is mounted on a boron cantilever, which significantly reduces the inert mass of the dynamic pickup system and minimizes distortion. The service life of the needle has been increased to 1000 hours.
