Perfect balance

Yamaha provides premium sound quality by transmitting balanced signals between its flagship line of models, which also includes the GT-5000 player and the M-5000 amplifier.

Amplifier with balanced connections and "floating" power supply

The C-5000 uses a balanced transmission with a discrete cascade design at all stages of the signal path in the timbre adjustment bypass mode.

The patented design is used on the cascades of an input amplifier with a phonocorrector and a linear amplifier, eliminating the influence of interference from the ground on the signal.

Symmetrical outline in the form of a "book spread"

The design in the form of a "book turn" for the preamplifier circuit board provides mirrored signal paths of the left and right channels to ensure an accurate combination and correspondence of their characteristics.

Since both channels are physically identical, the C-5000 can most accurately reproduce the width and depth of the sound.

In addition, when connecting other components, the hum from parasitic grounding is minimized.

Two toroidal transformers

The use of two independent toroidal transformers for the left and right channels ensures optimal separation for accurate reproduction of the recorded sound space.

The low level of magnetic scattering reduces the negative impact on the audio signal. After careful research and trial listening, the power transformer was enclosed in a copper-coated housing to suppress magnetic flux and vibrations. In addition, such a housing helps to reduce the influence of the flow on the phono corrector.

More accurate signal reproduction makes the sound soft, airy and all-encompassing.

Low impedance design

The copper coating of the case reduces the effect of voltage on the electronics of the device, and therefore the C-5000 can transmit both powerful bass and the smallest nuances of sound.

In addition, thick cables and screw terminals are used to reduce the impedance of the power supply and maximize the transmission of audio data.

Original design

The C-5000 preamp is designed from scratch in order to give the listener an unsurpassed feeling, including due to its aesthetic appearance and pleasant to the touch materials.

On the front panel of the device there are regulators and switches of original design, which combine innovation and craftsmanship.

The construction of the heavy-feeling and high-precision volume control uses ball bearings and carefully machined aluminum. The switches are also optimized for ease of use.

Specially designed legs

When developing the flagship amplifier of the C-5000 model, even the smallest details were taken into account. Its design is distinguished by high craftsmanship and conveys the desire for the highest sound quality.

And the legs were no exception. Special legs made of strong brass, the same as on the M-5000 model, act as fully supporting stops. They can also be used in combination with linings that protect delicate surfaces from scratches.
