The cable is as rigid as the younger model, with the same small gold-plated connectors in small plastic cases. The difference in terms of conductors is in a thicker layer of silver covering them. The dielectric is also polyethylene. But the main difference is that the cable uses DBS technology proprietary to AudioQuest — dielectric magnetization. To do this, a battery pack is fixed on the braid, which gives a total of 72 V DC. The manufacturer indicates that the cable is cut by soldering.
Compared to the younger model, the sound is not so bass, but still rich and assertive. It's just that the feed is more even and balanced. Although the character can be traced — the bass is powerful, voluminous, but noticeably better structured, the middle is smoother and more detailed, the upper frequencies are dim, but there is absolutely no weakness or sluggishness in the pitch. Rather, there is a confident assertiveness, speed and emotional saturation. The scene is deep, of medium width, the images are very fundamental and precisely outlined. The dynamics are good, but overall the sound feels unhurried, although even on complex recordings everything is formally without flaws.
